Legal Week 2026: How Firms Are Putting SALI Data To Work

North Javits Convention Center 4th Floor, Room 408

SALI adoption is accelerating. Firms are no longer just labelling data — they’re building it into their AI and data strategies, using structured matter data to make better decisions on pricing, business development, and risk. We’ll show you where things stand and what’s coming next.

Three things we’ll cover:

1. Taxonomy updates
Following consultations with several SALI Working Groups and input from firms across the US and Europe, we’ll walk through some of the changes in the V3 SALI taxonomies — what moved, what’s new, and why.

2. A new way to engage with the taxonomy
We’ve launched a public taxonomy browser that makes it easy for anyone to explore SALI codes and see what’s in Beta without a login. User accounts will still be required to comment during review periods. We’ll do a quick demo and explain how it changes the dynamic for working group participation.

3. SALI in practice: pricing
The most concrete signal that SALI is maturing as a standard is that firms are using it strategically. We’ll share early results from a live pricing pilot that uses SALI Service Codes to find comparable historical matters and generate defensible hour budgets, broken down by service type, with confidence intervals and LLM-generated explanations. This is what “SALI as infrastructure” looks like in production.
